VBA doesn’t mix older, more experienced boys with pre-teen boys.  Most therapeutic boarding schools in Skokie, Illinois, don’t offer separate spaces for pre-teen boys. Instead, they are all housed together. We don’t think that is appropriate or effectual for pre-adolescent boys.  In fact, it can be unfavorable.

With a heart for assisting adopted or at-risk boys, Vision Boys Academy’s Director, Shawn Parker, started the program focusing on pre-teen boys. The ordained Baptist minister and his staff impart biblical counseling and mentoring to the boys as they live, learn, and play on the beautiful VBA property. Guiding at-risk pre-adolescent boys (ages 8-12) to be upright and worthy young men is a thrill and life purpose for each of the dedicated staff at Vision Boys Academy.
